Following that you’ll most likely be greeted by our General Manager Blake Mouzon Carter.
This city of brotherly love native harnessed the spirit of hospitality at a very young age. Throughout his youth, Blake spent a lot of his free time volunteering at soup kitchens and giving back to his community via youth outreach programs throughout the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia Pa.
Fond memories of watching his mother host gatherings for the entire neighborhood is where he absorbed the importance of making people feel welcomed, as he bared witness to the impact of how hospitality brings a community together.
In late 2001 he returned to his southern roots in Atlanta, where at 19 years old he began his journey into the food and hospitality industry.
Starting with Quick service restaurants he saw the impact he had on others with just a friendly hello, kind word or two and a sincere smile. It was there he decided that hospitality was his calling.
Moving from quick service to full service restaurants Blake took on his first serving job at in 2003. After 8 years of hard work, dedication and wearing many hats he was given his first management opportunity in 2011.
As an avid reader he applied the principals of his favorite book “The four agreements” by Miguel Ruiz and to his management and training repertoire.
Be impeccable with your word
Don’t take anything personal
Don’t make assumptions
And always do your best.
As time went on using his expertise in the industry has helped Blake create a solid reputation of opening concepts and developing successful teams here in the Atlanta market.
In late 2018 he was featured on Peachtree tv’s Atlanta Eats after opening several locations for One of Atlanta’s top seafood brands.
Nearing his 20th year in the industry Blake has brought his talents and contagious drive for success to Café Intermezzo.
When he’s not at the café Blake enjoys home life in Kennesaw Ga. cooking, working out, and most importantly spending time with his lovely wife Keisha and two beautiful children Taylor Marie and Blake Mouzon Carter II.
